Who we are
We are Bas and Domenica from the Netherlands and with our four sons Ruben, Jorn, Sem and Cas we are the proud owners of Sasso Corbo. For many years we dreamt of realising something in a foreign country.
Therefore we bought a mountain in Tuscany, with 23 hectares of land. A splendid place. And without any facilities, from nothing, we built up Sasso Corbo, step by step like what it is now! A dream came true.
We love our place and are looking forward to share it with you.

Bas and his wife Domenica purchase an abandoned farm in Tuscany, comprising 23 hectares of hilly terrain and some stables. There is no habitable house, nor water or electricity. Here, they intend to realise their long-cherished dream: the first naturist campsite in Tuscany. They leave everything behind in the Netherlands, including family and friends, their home, and their business. Once they arrive, they face many setbacks: their mortgage application is rejected, the municipality rejects their permit application, local residents protest against the arrival of the campsite, and their eldest son ends up in hospital with bone cancer. To make matters worse, they also got into trouble with the law. Will Bas and Domenica succeed in realising their dream? A true story that reads like a thriller.
